I posted something at patterico, then it occurred to me I should probably mention it here.
Since I came from your brother's site (which, for those of you not familiar with it, is a relatively popular center-right blog with a heavy emphasis on politics), it should come as no surprise that the majority of blogs that I read are overwhelmingly devoted to things political. Besides being a good political blog, I also like patterico because he is local to me in Los Angeles.
However, coming to your site really took me back. It is a nice break to see someone blogging who is not compulsively obsessed with everything happening in Washington or Sacramento, but is just concerned with everyday life. It helps remind us political junkies that WE need to go get a life sometimes.
Also, it is fun to see someone like yourself who just started blogging and to watch how you explore the outlines of your new creative outlet.
Anyway, I think your son is cute, and I will try and drop by every so often.

Another reader of Patterico here. The stories I read here are definitely interesting and have a definitely lighter fare. I hope your blog is everything you hope it will become and more. It is definitely a way to "get to know" people outside your commute zone.
