My biggest is having something happen to someone in my family.
My most irrational? Being tried and convicted of a horrible crime I didn't commit. I'm seriously afraid of being blamed for things I didn't do. Seriously.
How bout you?
I'm afraid of heights, therefore I climb canyons.
Spiders. Anything that needs more than 4 legs to walk just ain't natural. I'm also terrified of being mauled by a bear when we go camping; you're so dang vulnerable when you're asleep in a flimsy little tent. People belong in cities, bears belong in the woods, and we should respect each other's territory.
My biggest fear is that my kids will NOT do as I say and will do as I do and will be a completely insane, irrational and procrastinating adult like their mom and spend all their money in therapy trying to correct my wrongs!
My irrational fear is finding a snake in my house and shooting up the place or hacking everything with the hoe to get it out.
I'm with you. Something happening to my kids is first on the list. Something happening to the Doc or me (leaving my kids shy of a parent) is 2nd.
My other fear is of the dark. Still scared of the dark. I'm pretty sure the boogie man does exist and he's lurking in dark corners of my house.
I'm glad I'm not afraid of the dark. It would have deprived me of the joys of being an amateur astronomer.
