US Debt held by the Public

I don't feel this needs a lot of discussion by me. The table speaks for itself. Now, talk amongst yourselves!

When the Democrats were the minority party, they made a big show of complaining about the budget deficits. It turns out they were looking at the Republicans and saying "amateurs".

Much of the Dems complaints about the Repubs was just politics, and the main thing they wanted to change was which party was in power. There are people in both parties who play the game that way. Those people are politicians. I'm looking for statesmen, and statesmen are few and far between.

There is a battle going on in the Republican party between the RINO politicians (Republican In Name Only) and the true conservatives who want to stand on the principles of limited government, fiscal restraint, individual liberty, and personal responsibility. I'm hoping the current backlash against the Democrats' big government and big spending policies will enable the election of such conservative statesmen.
