Blog Template Mishaps

AAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Okay, I thought that would make me feel better.

It might have if everyone in the house weren't already ASLEEP and I could have REALLY screamed!

No laughing...

I'm trying to do my own design for my blog.

Try a few things out to see if they will work.

So, being smart like I am, I started a whole NEW blog to test on.

Would hate to have this one get messed up, ya know?

I'm trying to learn how to put a background picture in.

Something cute.

Maybe a photo I've taken!

The one I'm practicing with is an adorable angel blogging writing...appropriate, don't you think?

(wink, wink!)

Except it's head is cut off.

Go check it out for yourself!

Then come back and laugh.

It's okay, I'm laughing, too...

If it makes you feel better - I gave up on that a long time ago. I know there are step by step instructions on the web but I'm too stupid to follow them... or something.
Good luck to you!

Gee, I could understand you taking the head off the angel if it was made of chocolate.

LOL! At least you are TRYING to do it. I'm scared to do anything to mine besides add to my blog roll. Ha!

I haven't convinced The Rev that PAYING someone a small amount is worth it in the long run. I guess paying the mortgage and stuff like that comes first. Whatever. ;o)

OMG Swizz, seriously, it is SO worth the money.

If nothing else, you can use the newer blogger templates to get a decent background then just pay someone to do a header. Those are only like 20 bucks.

If you need good blog designers, just tweet it out and you'll get lots of suggestions.

I can't recommend my gal - she quit after she did mine. I'M NOT KIDDING. Guess I was such a fantastic client?!?!?!

Oh and I forgot to tell you - you're not the only one who gave up on GIMP. I tried it, then banged my head on the wall for a while, then decided that my time is valuable and just forgot about it all!

I vote, pay for it this time, then learn GIMP slowly, and next time you're ready to revamp you can do it yourself.

Also if you use Picnik, there is a setting you can use to design a header. If you need to figure out how, I can email you the deets.
