Summer vacation 2010 in Parts...Part 1, The Resort

I brought my camera, but it is HUGE and not very good for things like water parks, beaches, and amusement parks.  So I apologize for the few pics and the low quality...we made many memories, we just didn't capture them!

First, we arrived at our resort...a FABULOUS place called Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Can we all say WOW!

There was a fabulous pool...

With a waterslide...

Which had lots of steps...

And a lovely hot tub...
(yes, this IS the hot tub!)

There were beautiful views of the ocean in the back...

And we all slept like kings and queens...

...especially JMonster, who probably had the comfiest bed in the whole villa!

Funny, but I never think of the ocean when I think of visiting Texas. What I would most like to see in Texas is Palo Duro Canyon.

Glad you had a great time.

We don't visit the ocean much, here in Texas. This vacation was in California! :o)

Looks like so much fun! I love SoCal ... legoland looks like a blast (I've never been - maybe next year!)

ps - Backwoods, If you go to the Palo Duro Canyon (I grew up by there), then you have to do the Cowboy breakfast -- it's really cool! They take you by wagon to the edge of the cliffs and cook a real cowboy-style breakfast right there, then you can enjoy the view, walk around, etc.

The name threw me off. It sounded like something that would be in Texas.

California is a place I would definitely want to see the ocean. From what I've seen on Google Earth, the Fort Bragg area looks very appealing to me. But my fortunes would have to change considerably before I could do any of this.

Thanks, PJ. I'll keep that in mind.

If only the beaches in Texas looked like this! I'd never leave ;-)

LOVE, LOVE your suit - where'd you get it?

Looks like Heaven. And that JMonster would concur. Hilarious.

Ash, JM has actually decided he wants to MOVE to California. Keeps asking me when we are going.

The suit is a La Blanca by Rod Beattie. I'm sure you can google them!
