We are looking into getting JMonster a digital camera for his birthday. After quite a bit of online research, I'm no closer to a final decision than I was when I sat down at the computer!
Can anyone help? Does anyone have a preschooler who uses a camera that:
1) is tough enough to be tossed around a bit
2) actually takes pics that are recognizable
3) isn't a gazillion dollars
PLEASE, PLEASE give input! We're going shopping soon!

I still haven't fixed up Jacob's digital camera he got for his bday. I think it was a vtech?
I usually give my boys disposable cameras before vacations - waterproof ones.
I also bought Michael (around that age) some camera they had at Walgreens for 9.99. I took it there to get the film developed and they put new film in for free each time. Don't know if they still offer that deal.
But I never worried about him breaking that camera.
Oh, LEGO camera, I'm officially distracted. I'm sorry, I don't have first hand experience with preschool cameras, but on style points a LEGO camera wins big.
I was ALL for the Lego camera...until I found out it doesn't come out until at least this summer. Bummer!
We went with a Diego camera that can upload pics to the MAC and create stickers.
Baloney, we looked into the Walgreens things, but the grandmas were paying and said they didn't mind spending the bit more...who am I to question such logic? ;o)
