Come, Let's Dance!

My college roommate started an organization called Come, Let's Dance.

Come Let’s Dance is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to empower African youth to initiate positive social and economic change in their own lives and communities. Orphans and street kids in Uganda are the future mothers, fathers, leaders, and role models of African society and our hope is to play our small part in breaking the poverty and orphan cycle.

Come Let’s Dance defines itself as a grassroots organization, thus we travel to Africa to use our minds, hands, and hearts to personally implement aid and follow every dollar of our financial support. Our programs are conceived and applied by the team members who live and work in the communities we empower.

We believe grassroots projects return the best results -- caring for one child, one community at a time.

Come Let’s Dance was established in 2006 by a group of friends from Colorado. Colorado native and filmmaker, Shane Gilbert, is the Come Let’s Dance Executive Director; and has the huge privilege of working with a highly dedicated team of volunteers who devote their talent and time to staff relief trips, administrate projects and programs, and raise financial support for Come Let’s Dance.
