Whew, it has been a summer!
I taught lessons.
I taught more lessons.
We went to Montana.
(I smell a post a coming!)
We put the house on the market.
(I'll share more about that in another post!)
I turned 39.
And am feeling every bit as old as I am.
Johnny's aunt passed and we spent time with family in Dallas.
And now we are gearing up for homeschool.
With my sister.
And her 3 kiddos.
yep!
You heard that right!
The biggest opponent of me homeschooling has changed sides and will be homeschooling.
Tomorrow we head to our Classical Conversations orientation.
(I'll write more about Classical Conversations in a separate post.)
Then a week in Atlanta.
(Anyone wanna get together?)
Labor Day.
Then HOMESCHOOL!
We cannot wait...

I wish I was only 39. Being on the high side of 50 sucks.
I saw an interview with George Burns after he became a singer with his big hit I Wish I Was 18 Again. He said a lot of people had asked him if that were true, did he really wish he was 18 again. He said, "I told them no, I don't wish I was 18 again, I wish I was 80 again."
I just remembered another good quote.
Former Braves announcer Ernie Johnson Sr., when asked to give a speech at a surprise 75th birthday party given by his coworkers said simply, "Growing old is not for sissies."
